Weight Loss Products Ephedra

There are not many weight loss products with ephedra today. There used to be many products which contained ephedra but it was banned in the United States in 2006 so companies have replaced ephedra with a safer alternative ingredient which does not cause the dangerous side effects that ephedra caused. There were reports of strokes, heart attacks, deaths, high blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, itching, hives, allergies, psychosis, anxiety, nervousness, tremors, rapid heart beat, irregular heart beat, and more. The Food and Drug Administration received over 1,000 reports of serious hospital emergencies and at least 17 deaths, from 1997 to 2006, of people using ephedra products. Some of the many weight loss products which contained ephedra were Stacker, Diet Fuel, Energy Fuel, Everslender, Metabolift, Ripped Fuel, Metabolite, Metabolife, Trimspa, and many more. These products have all replaced ephedra with different ingredients. Hoodia Gordonii is one of the natural herbs that has replaced ephedra in many products. Hoodia is a natural herb which comes from a cactus like succulent which is found in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. Hoodia is in great demand and will stand alone as a weight loss product if you get the real Hoodia. There has been many fake products sold as Hoodia Gordonii so do your research and make sure you are getting the real product and do not lose your money to a scam.

Ephedra was also used for medicinal purposes such as asthma, fever, bronchial tube, lung, and sinus congestion, for the common cold, cough, as an energy booster, as a sports performance booster, and other medicinal purposes. It has been used by the Chinese for over 5,000 years and also used for many years by the Native Americans, Mexicans, and Mormons. The different names for Ephedra depended on where the ephedra was located. It was found in desert regions around the world. It is also known as Ma Huang, Chinese Ephedra, Mormon Tea, Squaw Tea, Desert Tea, Herbal Ecstasy, and Epitonin. Ephedra is a shrub found in the desert and the stems are cut and dried then made into a white powder. When combined with aspirin (willow bark, salicytes, and salicylic acid) or caffeine (guarana, kola nut, cocoa extract) it can be a deadly combination. Ephedra increases metabolism, increases energy, and more. There have been many people who have received compensation for suffering or loss of life of a family member because of the use of ephedra. If you have suffered from a serious health problem while using a product containing ephedra or have had a family member die from the use of an ephedra product, you should contact the FDA consumer hotline at 800-532-4440 and also your local health department. You should discuss your problem with a good lawyer in your area to see if you might have a case and to see if the statute of limitations has expired for you. You may also be entitled to compensation for your suffering.
