Army Drug Rehab Salvation The Salvation Army provides drug and alcohol rehab help for those who need it but can not afford it on their own. There are Salvation Army rehab centers in New York and there might be others across the country. You can do a search and see if there are any located near you. If there are no Salvation Army rehab centers near you and you can not afford paying for the help you need, you can check into other government organizations which might help you pay for the help you need. You can do a search into it and find other methods of getting support. There are other government organizations as well as private organizations which help those in need . The Salvation Army rehab centers are Adult rehabilitation centers which serve the body, mind, and spirit of the men and (in some centers) women who are fighting their drug and/or alcohol addictions. The centers provide the work, group and individual therapy as well as housing in clean facilities. The Adult Rehabilitation centers are responsible for collecting used clothing, furniture and other household items and for the operation of the Salvation Army Thrift Stores. There are other Salvation Army rehabilitation centers across the country in the major large cities and possibly other mid sized cities. The employees of these centers are getting the help they need with their addictions while giving others the help they need by giving back to the community. This method of rehab seems to be a great idea that has been working for many in need since the 1890's. It began in New York City as the Cheap Food and Shelter Depot and later became the first Industrial Home in 1906 located on West 48th Street which is presently the location for the Manhattan Rehabilitation Center. The Headquarters for the Adult rehab centers Command is located at the Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters in West Nyack, New York. You can find out more info on the different locations of all of the rehab centers and the Salvation Army online at their website. There needs to be more helping hands like the Salvation Army in this country. There are far too many greedy organizations that cheat or beg people out of their money and use very little of it for what it is intended for. These non-profit organizations often put more of the money in their pockets instead of using it to help others as it is meant to be for. They have helped many people when they suffer from natural disasters, fires, etc. and the help they provide is paid for through the donations of the good people of the United States who find it in their hearts to help out when they can.
