Rihanna Rehab
Rihanna’s “Rehab” song is about a girl who has been jilted by her lover and was so hung up on him that when he left her she did not know which way to turn. Many of the songs that are sung are from the heart and experiences of the writers so there is a lot of feeling put into them. This is what makes a big hit. The soul and heart that is put into the music and lyrics. Rihanna is not the only one who has songs out about rehab. Amy Winehouse has a song called “Rehab” in which she sings about drinking and how her dad and others want her to go into rehab and how she is fighting it. It sounds like she knows she has a problem but doesn’t know if she wants to change her life or else she wants to change but does not know how to do it. There is a sense of fear in her song.

Rihanna was born in St Michael, Barbados and has two younger brothers. Her father is Barbadian and her mother is Guyanese. In 2004 she won the Miss Combermere Beauty Pageant. While she was in school she formed a trio musical group with two of her classmates. She received her big break at the age of 15 when one of her friends introduced her to the music producer Evan Rogers. Evan was vacationing in Barbados with his wife and his partner in business, Carl Sturken. They helped Rihanna record material in the United States and then they sent it to different recording studios. She was signed to Def Jam Records. Her influence in music was Alicia Keys, Beyonce, and her Caribbean background.
There is a singing group who call themselves “Rehab” and some of their songs are about “Sittin’ in a Bar”, “Drinkin’ Problem”, and others. The group consists of five men named Danny Boone Alenander, Mike Hartnett, Foz, Hano Leathers, and Chris Hood. They are based in Atlanta, Georgia and their latest album is “Grafitti the World. They all have a part in writing the songs and they want to express their feelings through their songs.
