AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Broker

AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance broker offers supplemental insurance to people over 50 years old and to some who are eligible for medicare because they are disabled. AARP is not associated with the Medicare or the supplement programs and plans offered by the Federal Government or the Medicare Program. The AARP plans are designed to help pay what the Federal Medicare program does not pay. AARP has a health insurance program with a variety of plans to meet your needs. One of their plans is designed to pay the $912 Part A Deductible that the Federal Medicare plan expects you to pay out of pocket. They are not the insurer. If you choose a plan you will be insured by United Healthcare Insurance Company. If you have the AARP life insurance plan, you are insured by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. AARP offers their supplemental insurance to those over 50 years old in all 50 states as well as Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, D.C., and Puerto Rico. With AARP supplemental medicare insurance you can choose your own doctors, there are no claim forms to fill out, you get coverage anywhere you go in the United states, and they offer great customer care. AARP Health Care Options is the name of their health insurance and service program. They do not insure you, they are paid license fees from the United Healthcare Insurance Company, and the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for the use of the AARP trademark and other services. The amounts they pay to the AARP are used for general purposes of AARP and its members.

There are many insurance companies that offer supplemental insurance plans. You do not have to use AARP or the Federal medicare supplemental plans offered. You should do some research and do not rush into any plan. Do a comparison check and compare the plans and the cost of the premiums. There is a great variety to choose from so take your time and choose one to suit your needs and your budget. If you have health insurance from work or from a past employer and it covers 100% of your medical bills then you do not need a supplemental insurance. Some people live on set incomes and can not afford supplemental insurance so they struggle along to pay the bills that the Medicare does not pay. Medicare pays much less than it used to so there is usually a large bill after a hospital stay plus there are usually medications needed.. Some people who live on SS or SSI do not get enough to cover everything so they sometimes give up food or utilities in order to pay the medical bills or to buy medicine. Medication costs have spiraled too so it is getting harder and harder for the senior citizens to live.
