Foot Surgery Supplements If you have had foot surgery or are going to have foot surgery, the doctor needs to know what supplements you were taking in order to know which medications to use during your surgery ordeal. Some supplements do not mix well with drugs so the doctors have to know what they are dealing with. After your foot surgery and after you have gone home you might be able to take supplemental pain medications or creams for the surgery area but you need to get the doctors permission first. You might also be able to get back on your vitamins, etc. that you were taking previous to the foot surgery. There are supplements for pain, bones, skin, nails, nerves, circulation, muscles, and any other thing that might be associated with foot surgery. It depends on what type of foot surgery you had to determine which supplements will benefit you. Make sure you discuss them with your doctor if you are taking medications associated with the foot surgery or any other health issue. There are natural supplements for just about any health problem you may have or as a preventative from diseases, viruses, or other germs which invade the body. There are supplements for eyes, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, memory loss, ears, skin, bones, teeth, kidneys, liver, bladder, prostrate, pancreas, menopause symptoms, pain, nervous system, circulation and heart, respiratory system, digestive tract, and other parts of the body. Many supplements will aid more than one part of the body. Many people are using supplements instead of taking prescription drugs or over the counter drugs. Many drugs have serious side effects which can damage parts of the body such as the kidneys or liver while it helps another area of the body. This is the reason many people are taking many medications. Some elderly take many prescription drugs on a daily basis and each one is to repair the damage done by another one. It might be possible that some supplements can help repair some of the damage done by the drugs. If you have health issues and are using medications, you should discuss the use of supplements with your doctor to make sure they are safe to use along with your other medications. Some of the natural herbs and supplements used for better health are black cohash (menopausal support), blueberry (pancreas, kidney), elder berry respiratory, immune system), echinacea (immune system), fenugreek (digestion), ginger digestion and circulation), ginkgo (mental alertness), gymnema sylvestre (blood sugar), horehound (lungs), hyssop (respiratory and digestion), red raspberry (women’s health), rosemary (liver), sage (memory), valerian root nerves), yucca root (joints), and many others. Even many doctors are beginning to recognize the benefits of natural supplements and are recommending them to their patients. The scientists and doctors are beginning to see what our ancestors have known for many years. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
