We're the reason more people come home safe from factories, offices, and construction sites every day. We provide a voice to advocate the issues that affect us all: seat belt and air bag safety, child safety seats, drunk and distracted driving, falls and other injuries in the home. Memorial Gifts Honor the memory of a deceased family member or friend with a donation to the Health and Safety Council. We'll send a card to that person's family informing them of your generous and thoughtful donation, without mentioning the amount of the gift. You can also add a personalized message on the card. We'll notify you that we've received your memorial gift and send a card. Tribute Gifts A tribute gift is a thoughtful way to acknowledge special events - birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations. We'll send a card personalized with the special event and your message without mentioning the amount of the gift. We will notify you that we've received your gift of honor and then send a card to the honoree. Naming Gifts Commemorative gift naming opportunities at the Health and Safety Council's headquarters are available, starting with a Lobby Recognition Plaque. Trusts You can transfer cash, securities or other property to a trust, with instructions that the trustee pay income to you or whomever you designate for a specified length of time, and then transfer the remaining principal to the Health and Safety Council. Bequests Bequests by will can be in a number of forms. All are fully deductible as charitable gifts for federal estate tax purposes and, in most cases, for state death tax purposes.
