Trimspa CEO The Trimspa CEO and other spokespersons for the company are not saying much about the lawsuits and many complaints that they are getting about their weight loss pills. The past three years the company’s sales have dropped tremendously because the weight loss pills are not working for some the way the company claimed it will. Anna Nicole Smith made the statement that she lost 69 pounds in about 8 months and after that, they company hired her as their spokesperson. However it was later discovered that Anna Nicole was taking other aids to help her lose weight at the same time that she was taking the Trimspa pills. Anna Nicole herself made that statement to reporters. Anna Nicole was named in the lawsuits along with Trimspa.. Since she was their spokesperson, she was held liable too. The Trimspa weight loss pill does not work for some and others claim they lost a little weight but immediately gained it back plus some as soon as they stopped taking the pills. Others reported side effects which kept them from taking the weight loss pills. One person claimed they had a stomach ache, pains in the lower abdomen, and in the wrist, knees, and elbow joints. The pains increased gradually and kept getting worse until they stopped taking the pills and it took three days for the pains to go completely away. Another person reported that they were losing weight but got the jitters and had to stop taking the Trimspa pills. Other reported side effects are nausea, insomnia, heart palpitations, chest pain, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing, swelling of the throat or esophagus which could cause choking if not enough water is taken with the pill, vomiting, allergic reaction to shellfish, sensitivity to caffeine, chromium toxicity, migraines, and increased blood glucose. The Trimspa was fined $1.5 million by the Federal Trade Commission for making false claims about their products and false advertising. On January 4, 2007 they agreed to pay the fine because they wanted to stop the investigation against the company. Makes you wonder if they had something to hide. The company keeps several of their ingredients a secret and they do not tell the amount of each ingredient on the labels of the bottles. They claim this is because they do not want someone to steal their formula. That is ironic because if it does not work, why would anyone want to steal it. The ingredients they do list are green tea extract, chromium, cocoa extract, hoodia gordonii, glucomannan, glucosamine, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, citrus naringin, HCL, and vanadium. It is a good idea to discuss the use of this diet pill with your doctor before you try it. If you are already taking the pill and you experience any side effects from it, stop taking it and if serious, contact your doctor. All Text Copyright © Safety2005.org |
