It is the opinion of some that pure Hoodia extract is much (maybe as much as 50 times) more potent and better to use than
Hoodia pills and other forms of Hoodia. It is believed that the Hoodia extract is stronger because the pills capsules, etc. will
breakdown and not be as potent after taken and the extract keeps its strength when it starts working in your system. For
example if the pill contains 500 mg of Hoodia, your system may only benefit from about 10 - 20 mg. It is stated that 95 - 98%
of the Hoodia extract will be absorbed into the system compared to only 2- 20% of the Hoodia pills.
Unilever has purchased the exclusive rights to Phytopharm's Hoodia Extract. More companies are getting their feet wet and
getting involved with Hoodia so they can receive a big chunk of the pie too. Slim Fast is testing the waters with other products/foods
which will contain Hoodia extract.
Hoodithin Liquid Extract is one source for getting the extract. Some say Hoodithin brand of extract is the best by far. This may or
may not be the consensus of all but it is getting some positive testimonials. Hoodithin Liquid Extract is 100% all natural extract,
and they have the proof of authenticity. Desert Burn and other top brands of Hoodia also sell Hoodia Extract.
Pfizer supports the Hoodia Gordonii. Phytopharm is seeking food partners (such as the already mentioned Slimfast) for the weight
control Hoodia Extract. Phytopharm's product (they call it P57) is the extract taken from the cactus- like Hoodia plant found in
the Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa. The molecules in the plant scientists have discovered in the Hoodia plant suppresses the
appetite by fooling the brain into thinking it is full. Less calories are taken in because you do not feel hungry or thirsty. It also helps
and is suggested by companies selling the Hoodia diet products that the consumer drink a large glass of water with Hoodia. You
do not want to dehydrate and develop health problems from lack of water or food. Do not starve yourself. Use your common sense.
Hoodia Extract is easily absorbed into the system and therefore it starts working quickly and more of it will be absorbed into the
system because there is no loss due to the manufacturing process as is the problem with the pill, capsule, etc. Other ingredients
have to be added to the pill or capsule in order to hold them together. This process causes more loss of the pure strength of
the Hoodia. With the Hoodia Extract, this does not create a problem because it is a pure liquid.
